New Patients

Thank you for considering my services, which will hopefully point to hope amidst a sea of difficult waters.

Psychiatric treatment is a process that can be unfamiliar to many. The following are meant to orient new patients to the practical details of this treatment relationship.

Transportation and Parking

IMG_7153There is two hour street parking on the streets around the Philadelphian.  There is also a municipal lot located within one block from the building.

Payment

I currently do not participate in any insurance plan. You may inquire of your insurance company if they will reimburse you for any portion of “out-of-network-provider” costs. I will supply you with the appropriate information on your receipt for this purpose. Cash or check is accepted, I do not accept credit cards. Payment is expected at the time of the vist unless otherwise arranged beforehand.

Initial Visit

The first visit is 60 minutes in length and during that time the necessary background information will be gathered in order to understand your presenting issue. I will generally not provide a diagnosis at that time, but will arrange for a 46-60 minute follow-up visit for a date in the near future, at which time I will share with you my clinical impressions and treatment recommendations. It is customary during the time between these two visits for me to contact additional sources that you designate to provide additional information, as well for me to carefully consider the particular details of your situation. Prior to the initial visit, please review the following downloadable form that outlines the practice policies and your consent for treatment. You may keep this packet, but please fill out the first page and bring this to the first visit, signed representing your consent for treatment.
